Excellent concept, weak execution,
Bought this almost two years ago now so bit of a long term review. When I bought it, I was enamoured by the design, the concept and having something a little unusual. However, the watch has a few huge flaws…
1. Most importantly and something I felt wasn’t really communicated to me was that you had to press a button to get the watch to light up (which then takes about a second to get to the time). A watch for me is pretty useless if you can’t just look at it quickly. Might as well get my phone out of my pocket (which I do as it’s less hassle). The button when I bought it was also stiff which made this harder, it has now eased up a bit.
2. LED technology is impossible to read in bright sunlight. Fine in the winter when I bought it, useless in the summer.
It has lasted alright but the leather strap is now falling apart so I’m getting rid. It has been a huge conversation starter and it’s always fun explaining how to tell the time off it but don’t buy it if you’re after anything approaching a watch. It’s more like wearing a piece of art on your arm. I thought I could forgo some function for form but this is a step too far.
