casio m100db wave ceptor watch,
Bought from a shop in the White Rose Centre, Leeds. I have owned this watch for 1 week. It keeps perfect time, Is easy to read the face and the instruction book is thick but covers several languages. The abbreviation for the day changes with the language selected. A simple alteration means it will change automatically to local time for travellers. setting alarms and hourly alerts is easy. The luminescent display works well.
There is no second hand but the digital second counter in the lower “dial” is easy enough to see. The upper “dial” has one segment per minute and has 10 sectors. It changes from bright to dark every ten minutes which is a bit unnecessary.
My only complaint is that the minute hand is rather prominent and it hides the day/date display for a few minutes every hour but I am otherwise very happy with it. It is a bit heavier than my old citizen ecodrive but is much easier to read the date which always bugged me with the old watch. The battery should last 2 years but I thought I was buying a solar recharchable – no mention of this in the handbook though. Time will tell. Well worth £115 quoted on amazon. I paid a little more.

Accurate to the second.,
If you type in ‘Casio watch’ into Amazon you’ll see there’s a massive choice to wade through let alone looking at any other make. I bought this watch quite a while ago now and I still enjoy putting it on. It has a good feel/weight to it. The price is not rediculous, not too cheap either. I am always confident that it is accurate to the second and receive a mild buzz as I count the pips in on the radio. It picks up a signal, from I think a military radio signal, that corrects any inaccuracies. It will correct both the digital and the ‘mechanical’ element so when say the clocks go forward/back an hour it adjusts itself overnight (this is when it picks up the signal). If there is a downside it is that you need to leave the watch near a window to allow it to receive the update signal. The signal is sent about 6 times a night every night. I haven’t read the instruction manual for ages now so all the things it does eg world time, alarm etc I don’t use. I was in a big London shop recently that is selling a watch for £18000 and I still feel chuffed with mine – it’s more accurate, to the second you know.

nice watch,
just got this watch as a christmas present for my brother… but i am nto that sure.. as on picture it looks a bit blueish shade.. and the reality is going into red one.. but othervise it is very smart looking watch and with lots of functions to play.. so overal i think it will be good present and also reasonable price and speedy delivery, comes in a box
