Very nearly 5 stars!,
I decided to buy this watch as my normal watch will be away for 10 weeks getting repaired.I had whittled my choice down to this & the GW 3000 but after reading some negative reviews went with this one. First of all I would have went for the more expensive blue face but this is the only colour that comes with the rubber strap-Come on Casio give us more choice.Out of the box the yellow & black isn’t quite as loud as the picture & the watch itself is slightly bigger than medium sized but not as large as some that I have seen, bigger than my Seamaster but not as big as a Breitling. This is not a watch to stick right on your wrist straight from the box, read the instructions especially if your time zone has DST as it’s not quite as simple as set your country & go! The manual states that you can manually set the time but I couldn’t figure it out & ended up having to leave it until it synced with the time signal. One review of this watch stated that the LED light allowed you to see the digital screens as well but the reviewer must have better eyes than me,yes you can see the screen but you can’t read them but to be honest I’ve just got it set for the day/date at the minute so it’s not essential. There are features of this watch that will be seldom used but I would suggest that every time that I will use them I will have to go back to the manual. The major draw for this watch, for me, is the solar power & atomic time keeping, that & I hope that it will last as long as the G-shock in my drawer that is still going after +20 years.

TASTY Watch!,
Bought this watch via Amazon just a fortnight or so ago and wanted to wear it a while before i left any feedback.
I was torn between this watch (the Casio 3500 series aviator) and the 3000 series aviator, as both are solar powered, and both have the multiband 6 automatic time setting functions. I gave it much thought, even went to a local watch store to try them on to ensure that i was heading down the right route. In the end i settled for the 3500 series as it had dropped significantly in price here on amazon and it was the newer model of the two.
The watch wears well and is truly comfortable on the wrist, so comfortable that there is no need for me to take it off going to bed. i own many watches from high end cosmetic watches (D&G) to actual watches (TAG, etc), and i have to say that i have now turned to this aviator as my every day, casual watch. the resin strap is kind to the wrist and doesn’t get damaged or scratched like metal brackets, the yellow on the bezel and the dial is eye-catching and the face is not massive!
Setting it up did take a few minutes, but with the help of the included manual i had the ‘multiband 6′ operational and set the correct time automatically in approximately 10 minutes. this watch has a tonne of features, but nothing any standard mobile phone can’t do, other then readjust the time automatically each night and display upto three global times simultaneously on the face of the watch! the alarms and light on the watch are poor, there are 5 alarms and i just slept though them and the watch was on my hand, this maybe hindered the effect, but I’m a light sleeper, so wasn’t over impressed. The light is just enough to read the analogue dials, 3 seconds long i believe. i suppose this is an attempt to avoid depleting the solar powered battery.
Overall, this is a great watch for the price, it is obvious from the construction of the watch that alot of work has gone into the watch and its functionality from CASIO, however, the reason for the 4 stars surrounds the poor light function, why can’t a sufficient back-light that illuminates the digital items be incorporated? not a big issue as this is well documented if you read reviews for this watch elsewhere. the 3000 series doesn’t have a light at all, using illuminessent paint as a replacement.

Awesome Piece,
I think this is for those who know what they want!
A bit of reading of the manual and trying out will get you the required know how and finally an appreciation of the tech in the watch, easily my best watch now and sits right on the wrist.
Radio control is awesome works a charm in the middle of the night, all functions take a little combination of buttons but you will get the hang of it after a fews tests.

Understated Casio watch,
Been through so many watches, have lost count. I work in the Oil and Gas industry and wanted something simple, reliable and tough. This does more than it says on the Tin and looks quite good as well. Did not want one that synch with the Eiffel Tower every night or required a training course to operate it. Highly recommend this Casio DW5600E-1V variant.

Quality, classic watch,
A classic digital watch with none of the nonsense (circles, waves etc) filling the display. Only issue i have is the approx 2 year battery life (with CR2016) but do not let that put you off. Most casio watches with 2 year battery life usually end up lasting up to 5 years. Still, would’ve given it 5 stars if it had a 10yr battery life.
