Not bad at all,
I have owned this watch for approx 6 weeks now. It comes with a very thick manual which thankfully is easy to understand. It needs to be thick because there are lots of functions.
I use this for mountain biking and hill walking and going fishing. It is very robust, surprisingly larger than I thought it would be and easy to use.
I have a caravan in North Wales I use at weekends which is about 2 miles inland so the tidal graph is very handy for me to know the best times to wander off down to the coast with my fishing tackle. Also, the moon graph is handy for predicting when the highest tides will be in the month.
The compass is no replacement for a proper Silva compass but would come in handy in the odd situation where you may need to know your bearings when you don’t have a compass at hand.
The altimeter needs calibrating regularly as it works from baromatric pressure. My house is at 115metres and every few days depending on the changes in weather it can read 180 metres or 50 metres so you must calibrate it to a known height on an OS map before you set off.
Also, the barometer may need calibrating from time to time. I usually set mine to the weather page on BBCs website. The barometer is good because it records history of the weather hourly as does the altimeter.
There are plenty of other goodies on this watch and it’s a handy tool.
If you don’t need these extra functions then you might be better off with a more basic G-Shock. If you want more then I would go for a GPS watch.

Casio Pro Trek,
A superb product at a very good price when bought through Amazon contacts. Easy to read functions
a very good combination of Barometer/Altemeter plus superb time keeping via the UK MSF at Anthorn in Cumbria. Highly recommend. Great for Walkers, Sailors and Clockmakers!

Not bad but a few improvements needed,
I bought this on Amazon.com for about £70 less than on AMAZON UK so well worth doing a little world wide shopping. It looks very complex but turned out to be very simple to operate, the instruction book is easy to follow but you can figure most things out for yourself. I wanted a tough outdoor watch for mountain biking and sailing and its ideal for this. As for accuracy forget about the altimeter but the compass is spot on. On the down side the strap looks feel and obviously was very cheap. I was hoping for a something a bit tougher and worry that it will perish. Lots of clever little features such as the tilt setting on the light. It is of course spot on on the time, I lead my life on time and deadlines so really like the reliability of the atomic clock. The bezel is a little flimsy and goes both ways which somehow seems to cheapen the watch. However all in all a very nice time piece but I wouldn’t pay more than £130.
