Who could ask for anything more?,
This isn’t a fashion item at all, and it doesn’t pretend to be. But it is a sensible practical tool ideal for everyday use. I needed a watch with the unambiguity of a digital readout but the clarity of a good analog display, and this one was the closest I could find which is why I chose it. Combis are no good to me, the digital display is far too small.
There’s nothing to dislike about this watch. It’s light and unobtrusive to wear, with a clear display that has all the essential information on one screen. It keeps excellent time, mine gains only a second a week. And it’s easy to reset to the exact time when you want. It is comfortable to wear and the buttons are well placed. I find I don’t accidentally push them with my arm and hand movements during normal wear — this has been a problem with other watches I have had.
The 10 year battery life means that the battery should never need replacing — my view is that it is usually safer and more economic just to replace the watch at that point. The strap will probably be the Achilles Heel — why can’t Casio get these right when it does everything else so well?
Buy one of these and you’ll have paid less than £15 for a watch with no gimmicks and which does everything well. Who could ask for anything more?

Excellent buy,
Excellent watch and reliable. Good buy for work. I bought it as it displays date and day in easily readable size fonts.
Only downside is strap. i had to replace it once an year. I have used it in very rough manner and no problem with the machine though, very durable.
Strap replacement will cost more than the watch in the uk.
Will definitely buy again.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU ASK FOR,
This is not, and can not ever be, an Omega or a Briteling etc. However it is an accurate and practical time piece.
I bought this watch for work. It was cheap and I really wanted the day and date displayed on the main screen so a quick glance of the watch enabled me to fill in paperwork accurately.
I also wanted something that was disposable in the event of damage (hence no Briteling) and waterproof for showering and swimming.
My first watch lasted me about 4 years before the strap gave way. That was 4 years of daily wear and quite a lot of abuse. I immediately replaced it with the same model. The strap is lasting well this time but I have destroyed the face with paint and scratches.
As I say. Not a valuable dress watch but a very useful and practical daily timepiece.
Certainly worth a tenner!

A newer model of the basic Casio watch,
This is I believe the most basic model of the newer developments. Has a big and informative display, 10 year battery life and slightly revised and enhanced functionality. One notable feature is when adjusting the seconds it jumps forward from 30 seconds on, and back from 29 seconds downwards. This way it is very convenient to adjust! I am really happy with it overall. The reason for the 4 stars is that its screws at the back catch the hair on my arm. I solved this by putting a glue drop on them.

Simply an awesome piece of user friendly design…,
Remember those really basic Casio digitals from way back? Well they’re now officially ‘cool’ and ‘retro’. They’re fantastic – I love them – but things have moved on technologically, so now we have the 800H. In many ways this is the successor to the king of the ‘old skool’ Casios, the F91, but it’s totally modernised and as such is actually way better. One of the newer watches in the standard collection range; this has an up to date, high contrast display like the highly popular W96H (see rave reviews for this on Amazon) and is so similar they actually share the same manual. It’s also got the new low power chip too so a battery is worth an expected 10 years but just happens to be placed in a tough resin frame and is properly waterproof (100m – which really means you can drop it to the bottom of a pond and it’ll be alright but it’s not up for a scuba dive). It’s cheap as chips (never pay over £20 for one!) and – wait for it – it isn’t ugly!
If you want something thoroughly unpretentious, easy to read, tough as old boots, not overly bulky, as waterproof as you can get without have to look like its made of lego (you really don’t need a G Shock unless you are a deep sea diver or 15 years old do you) and with no ridiculous and unnecessary functions, then this is for you. I have two, just in case one gets trashed in a cement mixer and I find that 10 years later, some middle management buffoon at Casio has discontinued probably the most effective piece of user design they’ve ever put into production.
Don’t like resin straps? This is a soft and comfortable one that doesn’t cut into your skin so give it a go.
Oh and if you want something to make a statement then all this will say is that you really don’t feel the need to…

Best sports watch,
I have bought this watch for my swimming training. It performs admirably. It has a stopwatch, a large easily readable screen, a good back light and it resists to 10ATM pressure under water. All this nice features, makes training, any sport, much more easier.
I am planing to use this watch mainly for swimming training but also for cycling, running and tracking.
