Very rapid compare review of the Foreruner 310 as well as the elder 205/305. Other than the bodily appearance, few menu changes,so which older consumers may upgrade with the modern device without issue. But, the 305 continues to be a advantageous buy for those about a budget

@MaqAttaq1, 610 is IPX7 specified, ie 1m of water for 30mins. max.

@MrReggrundies, hello, the watch is deliberately designed to be used during the day as shown by the physical design, and the obvious time mode. The same attention is given to the Polar RCX5 which is designed for daily use with its very slim case, but they had to get rid of the altimeter to accommodate that. I accept that the 610 screen is vulnerable, and they should have added a tougher lip/bezel for this reason.

Pity the screen on this watch is extremely fragile and not built for normal use as a watch. Beware

The watch is waterproof (according to page 39 of their manual)

Can get a 205 for $120. 310 cost almost triple!

@WaskiBj I train with a HRM and it’s been a good tool for my training. You can always keep it in the box, most in my run club don’t use it.

yeap, got 305 for 116 £, and 205 for 96£.. but is the heart monitor so important?
but on the other hand it is 20 £ difference (30$)

@WaskiBj if you are on a budget, the 305 is best value since you can find a brand new unit for 150$. But if you want the latest tech, and a few extra features, the 310 is the way to go.

That’s how a review should be done. Good job.
