Great watch,
This is a great watch-my first heart rate monitor, and it does everything i want it to. The only slight negative is that it has a flat face making it more vulnerable to scratches-I have already managed to accidently scratch it several times when training (rowing mainly) which is perhaps not so ideal for certain sports all considered. However I wear it every day and will certainly be buying another polar watch when this ones life is up. Well worth teh money.

Polar wins my vote,
Before purchasing this Polar HRM FT4F I tried a Sigma similar product. This Polar is far far easier to operate. From the onset the Polar was easier to set up and use. I had trouble getting the Sigma to detect my heart beat via the chest strap, sometimes would work, sometimes not – the Polar, in contrast, worked without a problem. I had trouble finding the results of my workout on the Sigma, no such trouble with the Polar.
The Polar comes with a small instruction manual, but I didn’t need it as it was all total common sense. Thank you Polar for putting the effort in to make my life easier and save me time and effort.
I would definately recommend this product to others.
The only tiny tiny thing I would like Polar to do, is to make this available in more colour choices. Bronze really isn’t my thing.

A perfect HRM for beginners to intermediate,
I’ve purchased this product a couple of weeks ago and I’m very happy with it.
At first I thought the plastic strap of the watch wouldn’t be comfortable, but now I’m using it and it is very comfortable.
The watch is very easy to use. The body strap is comfortable. The body strap can be used with cardio equipment without the watch if you’d like.
If you are a female like me, the body strap needs to go under your sports bra, which feels somewhat uncomfortable due to the front HRM piece sitting underneath your bra. Overall, once you get used to it, you totally forget that it is there.
The only downside is, you cannot connect it to your computer and download the data.
