Good infection control cover but dodgy clip,
I bought this watch set after a previous one’s battery had run down within a fortnight of receiving it, & I had subsequently put it through the wash in my uniform pocket… This one is different in that it is a normal fob watch with a washable cover – on most infection control watches the fob itself is made of the washable silicone material. I like the idea that I can use this cover over a regular fob watch – definitely a positive point. However, I may well need to replace the watch as on the third wearing the clip started to fall apart – it still just about holds on, but it won’t be long before it ends up in a patient’s lap (or worse)! I would prefer to pay a little more for a good, cleanable watch that works for more than a week.
