THE WATCH SHOP – BUYER BEWARE,
I bought a Seiko SNDA57P1 watch – from The Watch Shop. Well, it stopped twice within 3 months. I contacted Amazon who were unable to help me with their A-Z guarantee as the watch had stopped some 8 days out of their ‘period.’ I contacted THE WATCH SHOP who ignored my emails. I had difficulty getting through on the phone too.
The following is cut and pasted from an email that Amazon sent to me……. “The seller of this order has a posted returns policy, which was available to you prior to the time of purchase. This policy explicitly states that items such as those purchased by you cannot be returned under these circumstances.” Amazon staff have told me that as my watch had stopped working, The Watch Shop would not refund my money.
After threatening legal action against The Watch Shop, they have taken the watch back, after telling me to deal directly with Seiko in what I believe was an attempt to fob me off.
The watch sat in their offices for about 5 days, as they needed to process this faulty item. Apparently, according to staff at The Watch Shop, this involves writing a letter to Seiko and then posting it off. 5 days!!!!!!???
Staff also inform me that they have around 250 unread emails and insufficient staff to process them all, which is why they don’t reply to my emails. I however, have a different opinion.
Great watch while it worked. Make your own mind up about where you buy it. Personally – I would pay a few extra quid for peace of mind.

It’s a good one.,
I was after a good looking casual watch and I got exactly that. Initially I had purchased a similar looking Rotary watch but after seeing this, I knew it was the one I wanted. Seiko is a good brand. I’m not a fan of heavy metallic straps and so the wide material strap is perfect. The face is large and looks great, the two orange hands (one for the second hand and one for the timer hand) adding a bit of variation colour wise. Although on the larger side, the watch is lightweight and I don’t feel that I’m wearing it most of the time. Great watch.

Very nice watch,
Expected high quality from Seiko and wasn’t disappointed, keeps time very well and if worn for a full working day can keep the watch going for about 30+ hours. It does look a little small on the wrist but for everyday wear it looks pretty good.
