Glamourous makeup conjures up memories of the grandeur of Hollywood using easy systems that make you look and feel like a movie star. Dramatic eye shadow and lips combine to make a standout look which can often be combined with a beautiul updo or long flowing hair for impressive style. This look can quite easily be had by using products you likely already own, although nothing is anywhere near as much fun as trying new foundations, eye shadows, lipsticks and blushes.
The focus of glamourous makeup begins with a beautiful foundation which evens out skin tones and hides imperfections. Using a colour which mixes easily in a dewy or slightly matte finish creates a base for finishing touches. A light dusting of powder increases the longevity and lets powder eye shadows and blush mix easily. Avoid putting on too much powder though as it can accentuate lines and cake after a couple of hours. Apply blush in a color which coordinates with your attire and looks superb with your unique skin tones. The secret to longer lasting lipstick is to fill in the lips with lip liner before applying lipstick and/or gloss.
Eyes are the windows to the soul and accenting them will make them even more beautiful especially since they’re the prime focus of glamourous makeup. This may be done in whatever style is preferred. 2 well-liked styles for high drama include, heavy eyeliner and nominal shadowing aka Marilyn Monroe, or artfully applied and blended eyeshadow to form a smokey eye. Delicately sweeping a soft brush backwards and forwards then wiping it on a of tissue is a technique to mix eye shadow but can also be done to get rid of too much product when it is accidentally applied.
Eyeliners are available in a selection of colors and may be placed either over or under the lash line or both. Scrupulously stippling between the lashes will create a less lined appearance while still adding deep color at the base. Curling eyelashes and adding layers of mascara are the very best way to complete the eyes. Mascara wands can be held vertically and run up and down through the lashes as well as horizontally to create an even coat.
Carefully groomed eyebrows are the last touch to an overall glamourous makeup look. Many references for how to arch and shape brows can be found to wonderfully frame the eyes. Eyebrow pencils can be employed in short motions, mimicking the direction the hair grows instead of one straight line, to fill in areas where they’re sparse. A light dusting of gold or light coloured eyeshadow just beneath the brow will highlight and intensify the brow and add to the overall glamourous makeup finished look.
